So after thinking about it all for a while I decided to purchase another Supercharger Pulley from IBF in Poland made from hardened steel. RedDog had great things to say about them and the folks over on the Mercedes forums did as well.
I reached out to IBF and he gave me a great price including shipping that was just too good to give up.
In the meantime I will be running the OEM pulley and it will take 2-4 weeks for the new pulley to arrive.
To be safe I will be using the scattershield as well.

Thanks for everyone who has responded. To me the price was worth it and I have learned the best solution here is to either lay more and go with crank pulley or at the very least inspect the supercharger pulley closely periodically.
