You do not have to remove the entire center console to get at the power window switches. On the left side of the gear shift boot, pull up gently and it will come up. Then do the same for the section of console that held the boot in. It also comes up easily. Flip it over and you have access to the window switches.

Richard Myers made a post on the subject on 1-13 in this forum. He also posted a couple of pictures in his album.
