Yeah, if the battery is sulfated, you might be able to temporarily extend its life (depending on how bad it is) by using a good quality de-sulfating battery conditioner. The problem with that is the good ones are expensive and again, it is only a temporary fix. One tidbit of information copied from an article: Battery Desulfators - Fact or Fiction (motortrend.com) . It is hit or miss on the quality of the device you purchase. The information on that link is 11 years old BUT wet cells have been around for at least a century.
