I don't have a convertible but when you say the convertible top and spoiler switches don't work manually have you tried to operate both manually after a total shutdown without a restart of the car? Key in "off" position and fully shut down, then turn to just the the "On" position before starting and see if they respond. After replacing the front wheel speed indicator did you do a lock-to-lock and back reset of the steering? That also ties into the whole ABS, BAS/ESP thing as I recall but others may be able to confirm.

As far as rodents go, I don't worry about them as mine is a daily driver but anyone who parks a car in a garage or even a parking lot for an extended period should put mouse bait/killer under the hood somewhere and in the cabin somewhere because they are gonna get in there regardless and mouse bait is better than wires as far as they're concerned. Kill them all!
