MILES. THat is part of the answer. My Graphite had 116,000 on it when it was lost in an accident. I'd put Mobile 1 5W20 in it at around 50,000-60,000 miles and it helped -but what really helped was MILES.
That car shifted nicely towards the end.
My SE has Mobile 1 5W20 in it and it's OK, but not like the Graphite; I'm at 69,200 so in another 30,000 miles perhaps it will smooth out more.
I agree with this. Our 04 Coupe has 225k miles on it, and after changing to M1 5W20 about 10k ago, it shifts like butter.
