I have more cars than garage space. My coupe sits in my back driveway under a large tree. The problem is bird crap. I use a cover craft fitted cover and put a seal skin cover over that. The seal skin cover is weatherproof, goes all the way to the ground and can be hosed off. Would rather it was indoors but this combination works and protects quite well.
