thanks for the information..this is now driving me bonkers ..I got an auto electrician (with good feedback etc) to come and have a look..he got rid of the airbag light by telling his snap on diagnostics computer that the car was a 2004 slk 320 ..(my suggestions). So that’s sorted but after checking all the fuses etc he concluded that the BCM module was a fault and proceeded to take it out along with I think the engine management unit: I’ll come back when you have it fixed or get a replacement he said… so now I am stuck with a car that won’t go untill I either put it all back together or get a new (second hand ) unit and give him a call.
Arrgghhh!!! To cap it all my work bag was in the trunk and now I can’t open it!!! These things are sent to try us
