I have to buy a car that can survive outdoors, which puts me in the strange realm of buying a fixed-roof vehicle. However I still gravitate towards the rare & unusual. Knowing that about me, you might understand that I've been researching Japanese cars which were never sold here. Namely these 2:

There are MANY cars being sold or auctioned from Japan with extremely low miles on them which satisfy the USA 25-year (old) rule that are now legal for sale here even though they never met USA safety & emissions rules. There were 3 Eunos 500 on auction last week and now there are 2 ɛ̃fini MS-8 for sale this week. As with any used car these prices are not set in stone & as the site says, "make an offer". This is just one of the many sites where JDM cars are listed.

Thanks to the internet I know that all "consumables" for these these two cars are readily available through Mazda's USA parts center, as manufacturers do make a concerted effort to share componentry across platforms!
