My question is what Code Scanner can I buy to read the codes for my car?

Anyone kid their scanner that the car it is attached to is an SLK32 AMG?

Thanks
Ian
You should be able to use a Mercedes scanner and tell it the car is a 2001 to 2004 SLK 32 AMG. Not every module will scan correctly depending on the scanner you use. It will be an issue to try to scan the BAS/ESP module with most scanners since the Crossfire one is a little different. You might get codes about the HVAC module that only apply to the SLK version not the Crossfire one (such as ambient sensor etc).

I have had luck with the Autel MD802 and the iCarsoft MB II. Others have had luck with the CRP 123 scanning the car as an actual Crossfire.

You can also buy a DRB 3 emulator that is a clone of the Chrysler Micropod and install software on a laptop which is almost the equivalent of dealership equipment but can be buggy at times.
