I just wanted to post and update on this thread. I've gone the route of pulling the heads, I found that it is actually cheaper then replacing the engine. I'll be spending a couple hundred to maybe a thousand or a little over. Which Is much better than the 5k I was quoted to do the engine, most of which is parts cost, considering I work at the shop and would get a hefty discount on the labor. I would do it myself but I would still.be spending close to 4k on parts, not to mention equipment I'd have to buy. Overall I've found in my situation it's better to just do the head gaskets
