Yeh that seal is perfect round the MAF, tight seal and sat on well, this is the kit that was on the car when I got it.. Car was running perfect on it for a good 5 weeks and say 300 plus miles.. There no leaks between the cones and the MAF however I've just read I need to seal the empty air boxes with sealer? Is this because there's no air filter in it, would that alone cause it to run that badly.. If so I'm off to b&q 🤣🤣
Interesting Q, If you have a doubt, gut two filters and lay the gasket from them in the track for the filters and reassemble. Tell you the truth, using under hood air makes this a HAI (hot air intake) since the engine bay heat is much hotter than the air from the front behind the grill. Up to you but I would extend them out of the engine bay. Good luck!
