Default Finally stopped raining......

..........and I was able to borrow some ramps and get the steering damper changed. I changed it because I was getting a 'groaning' noise from the steering, which thankfully it has cured! On removal the damper wasn't flopping about,, just the opposite in fact. It was groaning on compression and hard to compress. As soon as I pressurised the old one off the car I new it was the noise I had been hearing.
I mistakenly took the frond skid pan off before I realised I didn't need to as the damper was to the rear of it!. It gave me a chance anyway to clean off the dtritus from the inside of the pan,

Now allI I have to do is figure out what is rattling inside the cab at the rear when I hit a bump?
