I still get the MG/Triumph newsletter emailed to me every month. Now that's a club whose activity has slowed down since the "glory days!" I owned, in this order, a 1980 Triumph TR8, a 1973 MG Midget (came & went during the time I owned the 1980 TR8) and a 1981 Triumph TR8.
An interesting item in this month's newsletter was a complete list of 1963 USA Jaguar dealerships. There were 11 ports of entry/distributorships in North America with Jacksonville, FL shipping Jaguars to FL, GA, AL & the Eastern half of Tennessee. In 1963 the Jag dealership in Jacksonville was at 4846 Philips Hwy, Jacksonville, FL 32207

The dealership building is still there. Now it's Otto Marine auto repair shop, but you can easily tell how there used to be a showroom up front with a large repair facility in back. A tight & tidy little dealership. Most USA Jag dealerships way back then had no choice but to also sell MGs, Triumphs (people forget Triumph sold a range of sedans too!), or whatever foreign cars gave them enough volume to survive.
