Decided to fix it myself even though 2 body shops said it was not repairable. I bought a Plastic Weld Kit and went to work on attaching the 10" ripped bumper mount back on. On both sides, after welding rip, I added stainless steel mesh and melted that into the bumper plastic. Straightened out the metal attaching piece that goes on top and attached with new rivets. The mount does not support any real weight but rather is there for aligning the bumper to the fender. There are two bolts on top and two nuts on the bottom that bear the light weight of the bumper cover. Used filler, sanded, primmered and painted even though not the correct paint. I can repaint later with correct Machine Grey paint. This is not a professional job, obviously, but did save myself $1600 and looks pretty good. My concern was I have $1000 deductible and did not want to see my insurance raise my rates upon renewal.
