Question Windshield Trim Repair/Replacement

About a month and a half ago, I noticed that the trim in the upper driver-side corner of the windshield had popped out. I saw this while driving and the part coincidentally cast a shadow on the dash while flapping in the wind. I was quite concerned that it might pop out completely and go flying while driving; I'm also not sure if the trim protects the windshield from environmental damage. I was able to find a quick temporary fix to prevent it from coming loose and I was able to find replacement windshield trims online but I'm not entirely sure how to do the repair. I'm not sure if it's as simple as popping the trim out and replacing it since it's only plastic but that could also lead to me breaking more plastic clips for surrounding parts. I've searched for repair manuals online but all of them are hidden behind a paywall and I'm worried that buying one for the wrong model or the repair job may not even exist in the manual. If anyone can help me out on this matter please let me know. For reference, it's a 2004 Crossfire if that's important.

Thank you.
