Thanks guys. I may have been spooked and overthought this. The fob could be the culprit and I didn't think it would be so integral. I still had the key so I figured I'd still be able to start it. Then go and get a new fob bat. Wrong. I'll first try the other fob to see if it lights up. The alarm siren must be disconnected as I'm gone often and my condo association might not like it blaring for hours while I'm away. That really scares me. Is it hard to do?
