Is there a "module" in the dash at the right side dash switch? I thought that was just a switch. There is a passenger airbag module in the footwell of the passenger side and as Isaacmaple08 said that area was wet in the past.
I do not think the passenger air bag module necessarily needs to be programed if replaced. The main air bag module in the centerline of the car behind the SLA needs programing if a new one is installed. Replacing either requires the correct year/model replacement so be very particular as to part number and hardware/software numbers when ordering a replacement.
