Next time it won't start leave the key in the ON position and see if the radiator fans spins up REALLY fast after waiting 20+ seconds.
Also take note if the spoiler (non-SRT) gets stuck in the UP position.
About three weeks ago the spoiler did come up when first starting but I could close it. I figured the battery might be going bad so I had it load tested and it had a cell going bad. Replaced battery and no more problems with that. Also noticed with a new battery I had "less" problem with the classic no start problem. I have already replaced the RCM with new one a few months ago. The new RCM made no difference for the problem. I will pull codes, as you suggest, and also see if the fan ramps up. Thanks for your help!

AS A SIDE NOTE: Several months ago my "OTHER '06 CAR" had the situation where the fans would ramp up and had to call a wrecker to get it home. I replaced the middle engine relay and has worked properly ever since. RCM's are very important in troubleshooting starting problems and I have a spare RCM just for that purpose.
