Default Re: Is it finally happening?

I remember the days when the Sunbeam Alpine was considered to be an underpowered joke of a chick car…but I always had my eye on the Sunbeam Tiger because it had the same 289 V8 as the Shelby Cobra. I remember thinking “one day that car will be super valuable’’. Well, it came true. Nice examples go for 6 figures. I think that can happen with the SRT6 Roadster for similar reasons. Interestingly, there were over 7,000 Tigers produced, but only a bit over 1,000 SRT6 Roadsters. A good friend is VP Marketing for a national parts company and has access to proprietary databases….7 years ago I asked him how many SRT6 Roadsters were registered in the US. Just shy of 700. Rare, and getting more rare with each passing year. It would surprise me if there were still 500 examples out there. I absolutely love this car and wouldn’t part with it for anything.
