Is anyone aware of this unicorn SRT6 and should I pursue it or run screaming away from it? I would prefer a manual but not one with ECU electric and other gremlins.

Thanks! I do hope to join the community of Crossfire owners.

There was a "Crossfire Custom" that sold at a Barrett-Jackson auction over a year ago for $40,000. It was a base model Crossfire (Black) with a SRT6 motor installed to the existing 6 speed manual transmission, which was a MB model. There was no mention about all of the other SRT6 options installed on the "custom", such as brakes, springs, etc. that is associated with the SRT6 model, vs. all other Crossfire models produced at the Karmann factory.
There continues to be issues related to the 6-speed manual on all non-SRT6 models, related to shifting from 1st to 2nd gear and a notchy feeling while shifting. MB quit installing manual transmission on their AMG models in the mid 80's, for whatever reason due to customer orders or mechanical issues.
Get the VIN# to determine if it's a SRT6 from the factory, since ALL SRT6's from the factory were automatics.
No details from the seller, run away....
