Re: Crossfire Attention Is Crazy All Of A Sudden
Whenever I go to the local Cars & Coffee in Upstate SC, there are always folks that stop by & ask me about the car. True car enthusiasts of the 'baby boomer' generation know the car & always tell me how nice the 2007 Coupe looks. I typically get questions about where I had the car painted and then they are surprised when I tell them it is a factory color. (Note: Several years back, I took the car to the Chrysler National Car Show in Carlisle, PA. I had a hard time convincing even the Crossfire Owners that attended that Machine Gray was a factory color because they had never seen one before.) Those of the younger generations, always inquire about the car because they have never heard about it and/or seen one. And when I tell them it is essentially a 1st generation M-B SLK320 rolling chassis & drivetrain with a Chrysler-designed body sitting on it, they are amazed! There are quite a few Crossfire Owners in the Upstate of SC, and I come across one every now & then when I'm out running around. One of the primary reasons I purchased the Coupe back in 2008 was that I wanted something that was not seen everywhere around town. Corvettes, Porsches, M-Bs, BMWs, Audis, are everywhere; not a Crossfire!
