I'm replacing my brake pedal switch which requires removal of the plastic panel / shield at the top of the footwell. The side panel has a long tab that inserts into the panel under the dash. I'm wondering if I have to remove the side panel first or just bend that other panel more to get it off of that tab in the side panel.
