SRT-6 LOGOS, BADGES AND EMBLEMS

DIFFERENT STYLES

The SRT-6 badge is one of the things that differentiates the Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 from the other models. The badge have two different styles, a 2005 and 2006 version, so there are ways of how to see when the Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 on the street was manufactured. VIN in windshield says it all, see VIN decoder for more information, but take a look at headrest of seat and/or the dashboard. The exterior badges can be purchased and are easily swappable and/or added to a NA.

POSITION

The SRT-6 logo is positioned differently on the 2005 and 2006 models.

As seen on photos to the right, all 2005 SRT-6 have the 2005 style logo on the following places:

  • Trunk, below crossfire emblem
  • Headrest of seat
  • Dashboard above RPM tachometer

As SRT re-branded their logo the Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 2006 model got the updated version. As seen on photos to the right, they are positioned on the following places:

  • Headrest of seat
  • Dashboard above RPM tachometer
  • Side fenders

IN NEED OF A NEW BADGE?

If you are in need of a new badge and/or simply just want to upgrade the sun faded ones you have, here are the part#:

  • 2005 trunk badge: #05140794AA
  • 2006 side fender badge: #68001757AA

BEWARE: KNOCK-OFF DECALS

As the SRT-6 badges are highly expensive, about 100 USD, many copies and knock-offs are availble on the internet. Be careful but it is often that the number "6" is way off the original. See picture to the right.

AFTERMARKET: ENGINE PLAQUE

If you look in the engine bay and lift the cover protecting the supercharger you will be able to see a blank spot where it looks like a badge once was fitted. This is how your SRT-6 came out from the factory in Osnabrück, but what goes for the Mercedes Benz AMG vehicles, is another matter. AMG places a special so-called engine plaque on there with a signature stating the name of the person that put that particular engine together. As for SRT-6 engine plaques you have to look for some custom made ones. SparkieSRT6 on CrossfireForum made some really nice ones show in the picture in column to the right. If you are interested in buying an engine plaque, just send a PM to SparkieSRT6 [[url=https://web.archive.org/web/20220427221251/http://www.crossfireforum.org/forum/private.php?do=newpm&u=26245]HERE].
