The top and wing both depend on:
1) The brake controller/wheel speed sensors working correctly.
2) The CLP/SSM working correctly.
3) The BCM passing information correctly between brake controller/PTCM/CLP-SSM.
The conversation between those three modules is complex and the function of both TOP and WING can be inhibited by the same failures. WHile it is possible you have a top issue and an unrelated issue screwing up the wing, my strongest suspicion is that the CLP-SSM is at the center of the problem you have. I cannot say for sure, as again, the brake controller is part of this. And we are seeing, on Facebook, a slowly building up of the number of BCMs that are dying.
BCM? We've had one top that would not move. We've had one car with no turn or hazard signals. We've had one where the top, wing, and wipers would not work. ALL of these were cured with a replacement BCM. I THINK we are all about to learn just what the BCM does!
I would URGE you to tear the CLP/SSM out of it's insulated jacket; unplug EVERY connector and look CLOSELY for corrosion from water intrusion on the connectors. Also, look the CLP/SSM over carefully but I don[t suggest you take it apart. My first suspect is that damn CLP/SSM - and the door locks working DO NOT completely clear the CLP/SSM of fault.
Bob and Patty in Eureka springs had a nonworking top and a frozen wing but their alarm and door locks worked just fine - it was the CLP-SSM. I was at least the third person to work on the car, others had made up their (arrogant and ignorant) minds that the CLP-SSM "could not be bad".
Thanks much Piizzaguy.
The spoiler is in the down AND I. THE SEATED POSITION.
I KNEW I WOULD FORGET SOME CLUES, YES MY BAS AND ESP LIGHT IS ALSO ON.
I REPLACED THE FRINT PASSENGER SPEED SENSOR.
TRIED TO RECALIBRATE THE STEERING BY DOING THE lol the way left and right to no evail.
When you mention brake controller, is that referring to the brake switch for the pedal?
I will dig into the CLP-SSM as you mentioned
Again, all help is greatly appreciated, many issues resolved because of you guys. 🙏
