Default Re: Reset airbag

Hi Dan,
When I replaced my multifunction switch to repair the high beam issue, I re-installed the switch, connected the battery back up, turned the ignition to the on position and tested if the high beams worked before I re-installed the stearing wheel and airbag. The airbag light came on, and stayed on even after the wheel and airbag was installed. The only way I could reset it was with my micropod II DRB 3 clone. What I read was that the computer thinks that the airbag deployed since it didn't detect when power was applied and sets a flag that can only be reset using the DRB 3 diagnostic tool. The micropod II clone costs around $130, and takes a little bit of fussing around with, but if you're a DIY'er, it's very helpful for fixing the crossfire. There's a sticky describing how to setup the micropod II clone.
