Good people,
Excuse me for reviving this thread to raise this issue, but I have a similar issue. I have two key fobs that were programmed to the SKREEM three years ago. They both were functioning well for the three years. In fact, I would exchange which key fob I used each day to ensure that both maintained memory and functioned with the car. Both fobs did everything -- unlocked the car, started the car and kept it running, unlocked the door and the glove compartment. A few months ago, one key fob started failing. I changed the batteries in the fob. In fact, I changed batteries in both fobs since they were put in at the same time. I followed the fob reprogramming procedure. One of the fobs works as well as it did before. However, the other fob no longer locks the car. I have tried the fob reprogramming procedure a few more times with it, but without success. I can get it to unlock the car, but it won't lock it. All the while, the "good" fob continues to work flawlessly.
What options might I have to rectify this so I again have two functional fobs?
Many thanks,
John
