It makes a "squeek" sound as it deploys? But not as it retracts? I read that right?

I've had good luck in the past with Remington Dri-Lube on 'hard to quiet' noisy car parts. It's a teflon (I think) product, made for slicking a firearm's action. Get it any any decent gun store, maybe even not so decent ones (like WalMart, Kmart, etc. in their gun aisles).
