Although this video doesn't display a Crossfire it still explains what a catch can is for and explains the flow of the "oil blow by" from the Crankcase of the engine.
It goes into detail as to what parts inside the engine are impacted by "oil blow by" from the crankcase
Our Mercedes 3.2 V6 engines are said to be fueled by >> Sequential fuel injection
so fortunately our valves do have the use of the fuel to help keep the back of the valves clean as seen here in the video below.
