Hello there HumanMode, I have a 2004 coupe and exactly the same thing happened to me about six months ago. The Homelink unit in my car just stopped working, fuses OK, no light flashing when pressing any of the 3 buttons. Found a good used unit on eBay for under 40 bucks and swapped it out and that unit is working like a charm now. Obviously I had to reprogram the garage door opener, but it’s been working perfectly ever since I swapped it out.
HOWEVER - replacement unit caused another issue! The TPMS computer is part of the home link garage door opener unit and it was looking for the donor cars codes for each of the TMS sensors. Right after I replaced it, my TMS light came on. There was nothing wrong with any of my sensors - all the batteries are good and sending their hex signal to the receiver.
A huge “thank you” to John Schmidt who has the necessary tools to have the TPMS reviving unit relearn the TPMS sensor codes.
If you replace ur homelink, you’ll have to run the relearn program (or stare at the warning light)
here’s what the hex codes look like for my car - let me know if you have any questions, cheers. Andres
