I totally agree. Anyone who traverses a war zone (like during support of a world war) when navigating the Atlantic and other extremely dangerous waters where subs or waring parties can sink you, should have been recognized long before this. In fact, if my failing memory serves me, wasn't there a ship or two sunk by U-boats before war was declared against the axis and japan? Seems sometimes, those who do not act right away are culpable in denying too many who served, just recognition. I do know the longer feet are dragged, the more die off... Shame...
