If you absolutely hate the side markers, a better idea might be to remove them all together, cover the opening with a mesh grille and plumb some ducting to serve as either a CAI or brake cooling.

Hmmm, IMO... a small side mesh grill covering the side marker lights would look like crap and unless there is some kind of scoop to capture the air, forget about forced air for any kind of cooling.
