I've just got a new one and on the dipstick it says min at the bottom and max at the top and mine is just passing the max, I love the car but if I had known about this type of thing and the rest of the list I probably wouldn't have bought her, if it's not one thing then it's something else, it definitely sounds like a lot to me but definitely having a stick to read the correct level it's basically down to guess work which is never the best thing to do. If you do not have one, download the Owners Manual & Service Manual here (FREE) on the website document collection. Read and understand the owners manual, it'll help with many questions you will have. It will be a VERY expensive move if you take your car to a Chrysler Dealership (read a lot of posts here, Chrysler will charge you a lot and may not fix your car) you'll have to research the manuals and if beyond your abilities then look up a reputable Mercedes Benz European mechanic familiar with a 2003 (ish) MB SLK-320. The users manual (and when needed), the service manual can help you understand the car. There are MANY MANY self-help posts also in this free document collection, to help do simple tasks and maintenance on your car.
