Good luck with your purchase this evening. As far as burning more gas, only if you have your foot pressing harder on the pedal. On the mileage, a few here are getting into the 35-40k range, I'm not aware of anyone here with 60-70k yet. Unless your in your teens, you should find that the crossfire isn't any more to insure than most any other new car. It's less than $10 difference between my Srt-6 and my wife's '06 Golf TDI.
