I am using a new head unit and I have the base model crossfire roadster, so no amp or woofers in the back.
I was interested primarily in the routing of the speaker wires from the head unit to the back subwoofer area. Thought I read someplace (can't find now) that the routing was passenger side around glove box and down the door side channel. I always feel more comfortable if somebody has already done it.
I decided to do the "more correct" fix to hook up the back speakers. The stock base Crossfire car harness does not have pins (and wires) in the car side of the harness to go to the back harness which does not exist (How much did Daimler save on that connector change by leaving the pins out?). So, I am installing pins in the stock car side harness connector, instead of cutting up the Metra adaptor harness wire. That way, both set of speakers go through the stock harness connection and the front speakers use the stock connection wire.
I suppose I could have just cobbled up the Metra harness as normal to work in the back channels, but I was trying to make it look pretty this time
