In the 60's 'hot rodders' installed cutouts with a cap that unbolted. This was before other choices became available. Took a few minutes but the end results we the same. Once, a police car rolled up next to me after just uncapping, had to delay my acceleration until he was a car length away just to avoid a ticket.
