Vinyl headlight protection has been around for years. I have them on all my cars except the old pickup trucks. Once done it is complete protection. I haven't found a need to remove and re-polish the plastic headlight lens in over ten years on my Limited Crossfire. The vinyl on the wife's CLK 500 needs to be removed and a new kit installed as dirt dust has gotten around the edge of the vinyl and looks bad. We live on a dirt road.
