Re: Woodward Dream Cruise - Royal Oak, Michigan - August 16 & 17 2024
Lot of familiar faces! Good to see Gary killing it as usual every year as the "Crossfire King", well as I see it anyhow.
This will be the first Dream Cruise I've ever missed, 1 year short of the 30th anniversary! It all started as a soccer charity way back in 95. Sometimes work just sucks I guess.
Anyhow, I hope you all have a great time. Avoid the potholes, us Michiganders call them "bumps". If you go on 696 (or any other freeway) and don't do 95+ in the left lane you might (will) have problems. Pass the intersection you want to go left at, go 1/4 mile, turn left, go back 1/4 mile and turn right. Yes, it's stupid. You should have been here for all the first "roundabout" intersections.
The previous were jokes but this is serious...... The reason I sold my Crossfire was wheels. I went through about 3 wheel issues a year. The low profile tires and the roads here were not a good combo. Seriously... hang back and let the kids be kids.... the potholes and dips WILL break wheels. This year seems worse than I can remember, and I'm no longer young.
With all that said... Everyone enjoy MY favorite state and event! Feel free to take home an orange barrel as a souvenir!
That Crossfire is STILL the best car I've ever owned.
