Yup that's all you need to do and with only 2000 miles you likely wont have much oil in the can to drain out at all
Also be certain that you keep the drain cap upright so the little o-ring inside the cap does not fall out
I usually drain mine at about 6000 miles at an oil change and only drain out about 3 ounces
