Yes it is the M112 engine.
I would bet on the water pump. It's probably failing.
Try this: With the engine off, loosen the tension on the drive belt. Grab the water pump pulley and pull up and down on it. If it moves, clunks, or leaks it's finished and should be replaced.
Just my opinion, but I'd rather replace a water pump and see if that solves the problem than tear the heads off.
Also, since you have to drain the fluid anyway, flush all of the fluid in the block and radiator, then replace with new. If possible, pressure test the radiator.
