Re: Turn Signals Stopped Working
When I bought my 2004 limited coupe the blinkers did not work, but hazards did. Sometimes rarely the blinker rear bulbs and dash arrow light dimly blinking, barely visible, and when this happened it blink and flash sound from dash in a weird irregular pattern or timing. I replaced the switch that the blinker is linked with that turns on the headlights, (forgot what it was called). Did nothing to fix it. I got a blinker switch from a used crossfire and installed 5 years later and it fixed my problem. Blinkers work good now. I have re-learned blinker use again. I drove it 9 years 66 miles back and forth to work daily through Seattle traffic on freeway with no blinkers as a everyday driver. I pissed a lot of drivers off, behind me. I drove it so long like this I developed different driving technique and lost conscious as well as unconscious blinker use while driving this way, even driving other cars. I don't advice anyone to drive any car without blinkers but for me it made me drive even safer because if I needed to make a lane change, I had to ensure myself it was safe only with occasional help with a passenger looking and hand waving out the passenger window, but most of the time using rear view and passenger door mirrors while moving my head back and fourth to catch multiple angles in combination with looking over my shoulder. Huge hassle it was and I hated rush hour on the freeway. Sometimes if a car was too close behind me, I needed to drive an extra block to turn, so I could flash my hazards as turn signals. Thanks and I hope this helps somebody someday.
