I tried to get touch up paint for that and the dealer said they don't sell it b/c that piece/part is not metal and therefore needn't be touched up because it won't rust. Is this true? I could still touch it up for cosmetic reasons with auto store touch up paint, but I figured if it's not a conducive surface the pain might run. What is this part made out of and do others touch it up with paint?
~ cg...

the windshield frame is painted plastic.

i actually have mine protected with 3M film... you may want to add this once you touch it up to prevent further chips.

thru - invinca-shield.com

i have an extra pre-cut film (3 piece) for the surround if you would like it. they sent me an extra. no charge to you...
