I swapped the original alarm that didnt work for a newer one about a year ago, but I never really cleaned anything in there. The a/c has been making weird noise recently, and I have previously had issues with the blower box, so that actually makes a lot of sense...

I'll have to give it a look tomorrow. Not sure why there would be oil in there, but it's certainly worth a look (and probably full of leaves)
