I just learned this past weekend that our 2016 VW Beetle Dune Hatchback doesn't use TPMS wheel sensors to monitor tire pressures. When I asked how VW accomplishes this, I was told that the ECM collects this data using the wheel speed sensors & monitors the tire pressures. Been doing it this way since 2012!
