Default I've returned to the UK and bought a Crossfire!

Hi Crossheads

I've been living in Canada for the last 4 years (mainly Vancouver) and have just returned back to the UK due to family issues. To overcome the shear depression of being back, I've bought my first Crossfire to soften the below.

I've actually got what I think is an absolute bargain. It's a 2007 Convertible, manual, with 60,000 miles. I paid £1,600 for it. It has zero rust (apart from a patch the size of a flea under the boot release button) and the interior looks like it's never been sat in. From the paperwork in the glove compartment, it appears that the previous owner with a double barrelled surname who lived in Surrey has taken unbelievable care of it. I even stalked his house on Google Maps Street View and can see the car all wrapped up under a cover.

Having driven it now, the only issues I can spot is that the rear defroster does not work. The fabric also has a bit of mould around the edges, probably from being sat on a forecourt for a few weeks.

I'm pleasantly surprised by the kick the engine has. I thought i'd be disappointed having run around in a 4.6l V8 Mustang the last few years but it really doesn't feel that much slower. The steering feels like a weak point of the car though.

She'll be getting an oil and filter change this weekend as a welcome to the family. Going to get scrubbing on that roof too!
