On my 04 Corssifire there is a small black 'unit' that slides into a metal support in the engine compartment, just adjacent to the top of the (drivers side) shock absorber mount. It has wire plug attached at the top with (two wires) a red/green and a red wire. On the rear side is a small (1/2 inch?) hose attached and on the front is a wire with a boot that attaches and a cable that goes under the engine cover. I have no idea what it is and what it does; however, on occasion it puts out a clicking noise almost like a jumping spark from a spark plug wire. Does anyone know what it is, does and do I need to replace it since it's making the occasional noise. At first when I heard it I thought one of my spark plug wires fell off and was 'sparking.' Thanks for any advice.
