Re: Car breaking down on freeway
Funny thing, I just experienced the exact issue yesterday. 08 SSB roadster, 85,000 km, Canadian eh! Stuck in stop and go construct traffic, stopped shortly after for gas. Car started then died on the road a block away. From what I have learned from this amazing forum as follows: car would crank but not start, turned the key to on to verify fuel pump, turned key on and waited to hear if fan went to warp speed which now led me CPS. Car cooled for about 10 minutes and it started. Only about 6 blocks from home so made it home. Tried to start car would only crank. Poured water on CPS, started right away. Scanned codes, P0335, CPS. Retrieved my Bosch sensor from the trunk and thanks to the advice from the forum, swapped out the sensor in about one hour and all is great!
The spare sensor is a must but I now will make sure I carry a couple of bottles of water in the trunk.
Immense thanks to the forum members and the tip from tank driver to tape the bolt to the socket when reinstalling.
