My turn. Finicky top
Edited to state issue is resolved after finally finding pin 7 bent.
Thanks to all.
Ok, my turn. I bought a 2006 crossfire roadster this spring. The guy I bought it from admitted lots of stuff doesn’t work, including door locks, trunk, gas door, top, spoiler.
I read so many posts on here my head was swimming.
Ok, step one, I got into the trunk, from there I did the removal of the foot on the electric trunk lock and also replaced the lock control module down in the bottom right side of trunk. Yay, now I can open the gas door and get gas, and the locks work now.
Found the spoiler would go up but not back down. Investigated and found one of the travel sense switches had fallen out of place, glued and secured that and fixed the spoiler.
Now onto the top, it did nothing. Tested the latch switch over windshield, it was bad. Got new one and now when I unlatch the handle, the windows go down, but no top action. Tested, cleaned and lubed all the other micro switches I could find and studied wiring and previous posts and found out the little motor inside the electric trunk lock switch was bad so the top didn’t know the position of it (I had already removed the plastic foot) I replaced the electric solenoid on the latch and now is where I need the help.
The top will now close on its own power, but after it gets halfway up it starts beeping until it completes and the windows go up.
It will not open on its own, just beeps, but if I unlatch the hex latch in trunk, make sure divider is back up, manually pull up back of top and unlatch the front of the tonneau cover and pull it up, and drop top into rear area, the system will finish the process for me, including raising the windows.
I have done the car running manual open and close a few times, also unplugged battery to see if error stored.
Looking for some further guidance.
