First I tested the charcoal canister. I needed to identified the ground wire which is typically the brown wire. Ground goes to pin two. Hot goes to pin 1.

Charcoal Canister Pressure Valve

I used two small wire connectors that are typically used for breadboarding in the electronics world.

Green hot, blue ground

I used a 12 volt source and made sure it worked.

Unfused 12 volt source and valve

The charcoal canister shutoff valve is normal open.

Open

Under test

Closed

So the valve checked out. So I put that back on the canister and into the car.

I put everything back together.

Fuel pump and fuel filter

Used fuel line clamps instead the screw clamps when somebody replaced the fuel filter.
I like the red bracket.
I hope that all goes well!
