Default Spotted a Crossfire

I happened to be at the local Target and spotted a silver Crossfire. Luckily, I passed it when the owners came out, and I told them about the forum. Hopefully, they drop by. Anyone else have such experiences?

I always talk about the forums when I meet new owners.

Since buying my XF last October, I've had 2 occasions where I've met a fellow XF owner in a parking lot and told them each about this site. To my surprise, neither seemed particularly interested.

As someone else mentioned in a different thread, I also believe that anyone who really feels the way we do about our XF's will find their way here on their own.

Just the same, I would still mention it to any other owners I happen to meet, for sure!

I agree with Midnightman...I have passed several Crossfires here in the Dallas/Denton/Ft Worth area, with no sign of recognition, no wave, no lights flashed back, nothing! On the one occasion when I did actually have one stop at the car wash too talk, I also told then about the forum, but there did not seem to be any interest.

And, to top it off, on Saturday, I pulled into the car wash, with another Aero Blue Coupe... first one I had seen. He just ran through the wash and drove off without drying it. So, no chance to talk to him.

Atrius - If you saw a silver Crossfire, it was a rare 2006. I work at DCX and only see silver in our back lot for European export. The vehicle looks great in silver, and I'm surprised it wasn't offered in '04 and '05.

I waved at a couple local crossfires and they looked at me like, "do I know you?"

Weird, oh well.

I think he meant the SilverBlue... But do they really do come in Silver!? That would look great! :cool

Personally, I thought he was talking about the new color that was on the Crossfires at the Detroit Auto Show this year.
I'd have to call it more of a "Champagne" silver. But I'm just guessing.
I don't think they actually make a true silver.

Champagne?? You mean old man tan. Well any who I always give and receive waves from fellow owners around my area. I'd say there is about 5 to 7 around the valley here and just a week ago for the first time I spotted one in red like mine.

My sister spotted this this morning in Shelbyville, Illinois at Lithia Springs campground near the boat launch area.
They are camping in the area this week

looks like the windshield surround is black, too so sure looks like SE. I would love to see a side by side picture of the Blaze red vs Inferno red to be able to compare and be able,to distinguish them a little better.
