Oh, and in case anyone is wondering where my grill is - I had originally removed it to get some plastidip residue off. While it was off a few friends came by my house and said they thought it looked cool without the grill with the intake exposed. I wound up just leaving the grill off for now and have grown accustomed to the look without it. I may black out my factory grill and put it back on....but we'll see.

just in case u would want to c how it looks black and or black with the silver strips. I have two grilles just swap when i want the change.jim

I love the look of the all-black grill. I prefer the silver accents elsewhere (door handles, side-strakes, a-pillars, etc etc.) but I love the look of the blacked out grill - gives it a more "racey" look. Did you paint the grill yourself?

No, had a body shop to do it. also before painting, I removed the upward lip an each blade,on the back inside of the grille ,for more air flow,, you can see through my grille ,, I did this when my car had the V6 in it, we need more flow in Florida. jim

Obsidian Black Metallic (OEM Mercedes Benz color. Also available on the Crossfire's sister car, the SLK). I suppose this also classifies as a "custom color" so I'll post this in the custom color thread as well.
